Aye halo...

The festival of nine deities ‘Dussehra’ is all about victory of good over evil. I have had always loved these nine days for every single thing they offer, especially most of the time they come with a birthday.  ðŸ˜ƒ

Apart from the religious significance, the nine days of Navratri are filled with delicious vrat (fast) food, energetic dance moves, vibrant festive fashion, and never-ending fun. It is an occasion to be at your stylish best in a traditional way, as you make your way to the Garbha nights.

But to do that, you need to upgrade your wardrobe with some party essentials that are high-on-the-trend meter this season.

Just because it is a traditional garbha night, does not mean that you have to be in a predictable chaniya-choli. It is always nice to go a little further and put your own personal style into making your outfit slightly edgy. It is a good idea to adorn bright colours during the festive season. But, take a break from the usual green or red, and embrace neon pink and fluorescent colours.

Combining the right accessories with your outfit is sure to bring you under the spotlight. Find a pair of long earrings, stack of colourful bangles, and a contrasting potli bag, to keep your essentials. If your outfit is unembellished and simple, you can wear a long chunky necklace to quickly glam up your look in one go. I went with these ethnic chand balis. But don't make it too heavy as you have to dance through the night.

Use waterproof makeup and keep the base light because you might sweat a lot while dancing. Go for a fishtail braid, vintage curls, or a bun with a pouf. Else, you can even do a side french, leaving your hair open. Keep your footwear flat and comfortable for dancing. You can go for colourful pompoms like mine.

Last but not the least, make sure you wear a comfortable fabric that lets your skin breathe. Whatever you wear, dont forget to keep it stylish

Wear The Velvet Trend...

Who’d have thought that I’d be taking fashion inspiration from curtains & sofas😉. But can you blame me with this Bronze Velvet Dungaree from Oui Oui Fashion by Ankita.

Velvet material was seen all over the runways, this time around it’s more luxurious, colourful and versatile than ever before. Velvet is one of the few materials that is both comfortable but can also add some instant glamour to your outfit.

I’ve always loved velvet and already started getting velvet pieces for the home. But when I saw the fabric returning in fashion as well my heart skipped a beat. There is something about this fabric – oh, am I kidding, I don’t just mean something, there’s a whole list that I love! The fabric is rich, luxurious, soft, shiny and any colour comes out so well. It’s easy to combine too. A casual outfit can be made less casual or you can wear it with leather for a rock chic feel.

Hope you love the fabric as much as I do as I’m sure it will make it’s appearance on this blog A LOT!

This bronze Dungaree is made from a super soft velvet fabric giving you a comfy wear.

Oui Oui Fashion by Ankita's All About Velvet collection is just what you need to vamp up your everyday look.

You guys... this velvet Duangree is liiifffffeeee!

Make your work look Perfectly Polished...

Women have gotten into the business world in such an inextricable manner that today we do not even pause to wonder when we hear of a woman clinching a big deal. This is because women have not only entered in the world of business, but also made their own special place in the world of business. This also means that the way women dress is also part of being part of the business world. Formal dressing for women definitely has more choices than men given that women can wear skirts and dresses too.

Just because you work in a business professional environment doesn’t mean that you can’t look stylish. There are so many ways to make your work outfits look very fashionable while still being completely professional. If you don’t, your work wardrobe can end up looking dull and unimpressive. Obviously you always want to look and feel your best when you’re working, and you want others to think you are a creative, interesting person and a great way to do that is by ensuring that your work wardrobe is stylish.

One of the most important things about being stylish even in a work environment is making sure to keep it classy. You want to stay far away from looking trashy. That means making sure your cleavage is minimal if not completely covered, your skirts are long enough to cover most of your thighs, and your heels are tasteful and not 6 inches high. However, keeping yourself covered doesn’t mean that you can’t have an amazing work wardrobe. There are other ways to make your work outfits pop.

This is what Oui Oui Fashion by Ankita designed for their Work Wardrobe collection. A pencil skirt with centre slit and a stripped shirt. We styled this look with a tuck in knot, tan brown heels, retro-vintage sunglasses and a monochrome printed suitcase.

Isn't it fashionable yet professional !
